Quantum information theory is a branch of information theory based on quantum mechanics and is an interdisciplinary field that spans several areas of study, including quantum theory, condensed matter physics, information science, computational complexity theory and mathematics.

OrangeTechLab was involved in a project on the application of quantum annealing and digital annealing to optimisation problems.
